Obedience and Basic Life Skills

$145 per dog ~ each class is 6-weeks, meeting for 1-hour each week.

NOT ALL DOGS ARE READY OR WILL DO WELL IN A GROUP SETTING

If your dog is aggressive, anxious, fearful, etc... A Private in-home Lesson would be the best option to set your dog and others up for success and safety.

Level 1

We will teach you how to communicate more clearly with your dog to help them learn basic life skills such as sit, down, come, stay, watch me, and leave it. We will discuss how to help set you and your dog up for success when training so you get the most out of your sessions together. We also discuss house and social manners, and give tips for jumping and loose leash walking. Dogs of all ages welcome!

1 adult per dog must be present; current 2 person limit per dog.

No dogs the first week, humans only for orientation.

4 classes required to graduate.

Level 2

We will continue to improve upon your skills from Level 1 now that you have laid the foundations. We will work on faster recalls, moving with loose leash walking, using leave it in more real-life situations, eventually adding distractions and multitasking all while building confidence. We will introduce new cues like heel, along with helping them turn and switch. Dogs of all ages welcome!

PRIVATE IN-HOME TRAINING

Some dogs do better with in-home sessions. If you feel you or your dog may struggle in class, we can set up a few meetings in your own home to cover the same things we cover in our classes. If you feel you need to focus on particular behaviors, and would like to set up an in-home session more catered to your needs we can do that as well. We also do a PACKAGE PRICE for L1-L2 combo in-home lessons, and in-home Puppy prep/socialization lessons. Did you know that dog's have trouble learning and retaining information when they're feeling stressed or overwhelmed? For this reason, if your dog is easily stressed, scared, or overwhelmed an in-home meeting is more appropriate, at least to start. This way, in the future, they may be better set up for success in a class setting. For safety reasons, if your dog is hard to handle or showing signs of aggression, an in-home meeting is also more appropriate. You can register for a private lesson under the private lessons tab.
